Steel Chronicle Arcade Game's Video Posted
The Japanese game developer Konami unveiled the official website for the Steel Chronicle arcade game and began streaming a 13-minute video for the action game on Wednesday. Presenters Edo and Fumiichi demonstrate basic game-play mechanics and the ranking systems in the video.
Konami began streaming a 101-second preview gameplay video for "network co-op action shooting game" in July.
The story is set six years after "steel insects" invaded Earth and wiped out 30% of humanity. As part of the "Hounds," players must cooperate to defeat the invaders with the use of armored powered suits. Select locations in Kanagawa and Tokyo began testing Steel Chronicle in July.
"STE" or "Steel Energy" must be purchased to play Steel Chronicle. It functions as an in game timer which limits play based on the amount of STE remaining for a given player. Konami is now conducting a promotion that gives players 1,000 free STE points through the official Steel Chronicle website.
Steel Chronicles games will be available at various locations across Japan beginning in early December.
